About

Run Jiang´s works often talk about intimacy. The artist aims to convey not just intimate content, but also an immediate sense of honesty, an invitation to a private world.
The “dream series” is one of them.

“The dream is something everyone does every day. Although maybe we don’t remember what we dreamed about, or we don’t know if we dreamed.
The dream is uncertain. It crushes the things we experienced during the day and re-cooks with another recipe. We never know what we will dream about. It is like our private theater at night.
I began to write my dreams down and draw them, then they seemed to become a real memory, rather than a virtual passing moment. When I saw these drawings and recalled those dreams, I felt a sense of security that only childhood memories can bring.” (Run Jiang)
