The second exhibition in the Open series presents six new and early career artists predominantly from the North whose work came to us through submissions and expressions of interest.

About

In Pieces of You, each of the artists share a curiosity in exploring how we gather and make meaning of our experiences.

Peter Watkins is a photographer based in London, who graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2014 with a masters in photography.  His series The Unforgetting, (currently on display), considers Watkins’ family history, the traumatic loss of his mother and the structures of history and narrative involved in understanding the self.  The family items and activities are presented throughout a structure built into the gallery, the new setting moving the viewer through Watkins’ reflection.

Join us and find out more about Peter’s practice.

The event is free however booking is required. To reserve your place please call +44 (0)151 236 6768 or email info@openeye.org.uk.
