About

Israeli film-maker and theoretician Eyal Sivan is one of the most prominent directors of contemporary political documentaries on the Middle East today. At Nottingham Contemporary, he will discuss his past work and current research. Sivan is Reader in Media Production and co-leader of the MA programme in Film, Video and New Media at the University of East London (UEL). He is also the founder and artistic director of documentary production company Momento! and the distribution agency Scalpel. In summer 2002 he joined the Palestinian filmmaker Michel Khleifi and they set off on a cinematographic journey in their country, Palestine-Israel. All those who cross their path are given a voice.
