While water is often a place through which borders and divisions are marked out, the artists discuss how they reclaim this space as a source of transformation and persistence.
About
"Enmeshed, Dreams of Water" explores forms of mutual growth with and alongside natural elements. In this artist talk, participating aritsts Keren Anavy, Sanié Bokharie, Magdalena Dukiewicz, Kathie Halfin, and Jamie Martinez will discuss their material, artistic practice, and how they imagine water as an access point that connects different parts of the self and links histories that cross generations. Moderated by The Immigrant Artist Biennial co-curator Bianca Abdi-Boragi, artists will also speak about about their immigrant experiences and what it means to them to be included in the biennial.
