Artist Takeover: Andrew Gibson

His original paintings investigate the relationship between light and darkness. For his Takeover week, he’ll showcase scenes from London always from a particular time of the day - when the sunlight and the city lights co-exist - focusing on old street lamps, neon signs, hospital lights and other little bits that usually go unnoticed in the midst of London’s hectic life. 

“I make these things because they feel too beautiful to stay in my head, to commemorate stuff, and at times to make a point.”

Exhibition will run from June 24th to the 30th. A reception will take place on Saturday June 29th from 7pm.
