Join the WE RISE artists, athletes, and activists for a celebration of the power of art and creativity.
About
WE RISE — a 10-day pop-up festival of art and community-building in Downtown Los Angeles on now through May 28th, 2018. The 10,000 square foot art exhibition includes pieces that navigate and confront the full range of emotional health and wellbeing from trauma, medication and mania to self acceptance, mindfulness and joy that culminates with an installation by Twenty entitled “We are destined for great things.”
Curated in honor of Mental Health Awareness month, WE RISE is a project funded in part by the LA County Department of Mental Health and was produced by TaskForce, the team behind the INTO ACTION exhibition from January 2018, in partnership with the Anti-Recidivism Coalition.
The exhibit features over 150 local and international artists. The artists have created powerful works in an effort to promote meaningful conversation around the issues that affect our youth and communities. A full list of participating artists can be found here.
This Thursday, May 24th, we will be hosting an Artist Reception for WE RISE. Please join us and have an opportunity to meet the exhibiting artists. The evening will feature DJ Dazzle and other special guests.
