About
aking what I do in the studio outdoors, I managed to create a performance based collage of imagery that I think reflects the political identity and its industrial heritage.. yes it was also the chance to show two extra very large paintings as well either side of the three dimensional work.. combine this with an extraordinary exhibition space in the bowels of the theatre which used to hold the once restored gallon, now removed, i hope to have a fantastic exhibition that will be on the same level as watching a movie.. yes i set my standards are that high.. how do measure art.? well perhaps its how many times you come back to view or just time.. i would like to think that unlike most contemporary art that would disappear if we had a power cut in this country then ours wouldn't.. but seriously i hope that the large paintings measuring 8ft x 16ft and 6ft x 16ft made using stencils of imagery from the internet and television over our lockdown and pandemic time in an aesthetic contribution to contemporary art in wales.. that an art should real grab you and take you on a journey that you want to see more.. just like the first five minutes of a film..
