Cornerhouse in collaboration with FutureEverything, is pleased to host artist-in-residence Hafsah Naib, who will respond to our current exhibition Contemporary Art Iraq. Naib works in a site-specific way, negotiating access into a range of places and spaces through which notions of public and private, individual and collective, contemporary art and popular culture can be explored.
For this project, Naib will locate her practice within the context and site of Cornerhouse Galleries. Over a four-day period, she will initiate a range of creative encounters with visitors in order to produce an online moving book. Every hour, she will instigate a new encounter and document it visually in collaboration with the gallery-goer through various methods including video, drawing, photography and writing.
Drop in any time between 12:00 and 20:00 to meet the artist and participate in the production of this unique story.
This is a joint Cornerhouse and FutureEverything project.
