Taking place at the end of each month, our free feedback sessions are a chance to get feedback on your work from a practicing artist in a supportive and friendly environment. All kinds of creative work are welcome.

About

July's feedback session will be led by 'Squidgy World' exhibiting artist Kimberley Cookey-Gam.

There are five slots available for showing work, but all are welcome to join in the discussion! Please arrive promptly to ensure your place. Email us your images and any additional requirements at info@turf-projects.com if you’d like us to get images up full scale on our projector.

ABOUT KIMBERLEY COOKEY-GAM:

CrochetCookey creates and nurtures tender connections between garments, art & people – a creative platform that exists to address the balance between independent creativity and a desire for connection, through the process of care and collaboration. Crochet pieces handmade by Kimberley Cookey-Gam span clothing & accessories to sculpture and functional objects.

Kimberley is a British-Nigerian artist based in London. Her practice is an accumulation of healing through craft and its relation to nature and organic forms. She uses crochet to foster moments of connection through a shared act.

ABOUT TURF:

Founded in 2013 by Croydon locals, Turf is Croydon’s homegrown artist space and the first entirely artist-run contemporary art space in the borough. Based in Croydon’s Whitgift Shopping Centre, we put on free exhibitions 7 workshops, provide affordable artist studios, run a free creative project space for locals & host a number of other local creative organisations and collectives. A registered charity, Turf aims to provide paid opportunities for artists and creatives who might otherwise be undersupported.
