Exhibitors from the Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize will give an insight into their creative process through live demonstrations within the gallery space.

The event will take place against the backdrop of the Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize exhibition 2017.

The Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize was created in 2005 by the Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers and the Lynn Foundation to encourage the very best creative representational painting and promote the skill of draughtsmanship. With prize money of £30,000 the Prize is one of the most prestigious awards to artists in the UK.

From 2005 the exhibition of selected paintings were shown at the magnificent home of the Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers, the Painters’ Hall, in the City of London.  In 2012 the exhibition moved to the Mall Galleries, The Mall, London. During a reception at the exhibition the winners are awarded their prizes and the first prize-winner is also awarded a specially designed and engraved gold medal.

The range and quality of artists entering and exhibiting in the exhibition have grown each year and its reputation amongst artists is outstanding.
