Are you an artist interested in social change? Or creative who explores politics and democratic participation?

She Votes / Ona Glosuje*, a nonpartisan “get out the vote” campaign,  invites you to join our online art competition in the run up to the UK local elections on May 6, 2021.

We are accepting submissions in three categories related to the theme of voting:

·       2D (poster, painting, drawing, graphic, etc.)

·       3D (sculpture/ art installation)

·       Video/animation (up to 2 minutes)

Three cash prizes are offered in each category:

·       £150 for the first prize,

·       £100 for the second prize

·       £50 for the third prize.

Artists are only eligible to submit one work in the chosen category.

By submitting an entry you are agreeing to having your work exhibited on POMOC’s and Europia’s social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

The winning entry will be selected by the general public in a voting process. Winners will be announced on the UK’s local election day on May 6 2021.

To submit an entry please email your work to Krzysia Balinska at krzysia@pomoc.org.uk by 31 March 2021. In the submission please include:

·       your full name and how you would like to be credited,

·       a short bio,

·       links to your websites and/or social media (optional),

·       files with your work in jpeg, png or mp4 format.

She Votes / Ona Glosuje encourages entries from all adult artists and creatives based in the UK regardless of their experience or education in the art field.

*The contest is part of She Votes/Ona Głosuje “get out the vote” get-the-vote-out electoral campaign run by Polish Migrants Organise for Change (POMOC) and Europia in the run up to the UK’s local elections.
