Artes Mundi is an internationally focused arts organisation based in Cardiff, Wales. Through our biennial exhibition and prize and many other related commissions and community projects, we aim to recognise and present work by leading contemporary visual artists from across the world.
Presentations by each of our shortlisted artists will take different forms including talks, performances and film screenings. This is an opportunity to consider more deeply each artists' practice and some of the themes such as personal and collective histories of migration and diaspora, globalisation, political power structures, and our personal fears and anxieties and what it means to be human with all its flaws, idiosyncrasies and potential.
