About

Art360 Foundation has launched its latest programme for twelve artists and estates in Scotland.

Artists, and the estates or representatives of artists, who have lived or worked in Scotland are eligible to apply. Successful applicants will be selected by a panel of artists and senior members of Art360 Foundation.
Ten places are fully-funded bursaries worth £6,000 each and two places are self-funded costing £10,000. If you wish to be considered for both the bursary and self-funded place, please tick the relevant box in your application form.

Art360 Scotland empowers artists and artists’ estates in Scotland to create resilient and accessible archives of artwork and ephemeral material. We encourage artists and estates working with a multiplicity of disciplines and media to apply for the opportunity.

The programme aims to support artists and artists’ estates in Scotland with the critical task of organising and making visible their physical and digital materials.

We works with each awardee to create a bespoke package of activity which aligns with individual practices and priorities. Each participant will have access to a range of specialist services, including:

• Archive appraisal
• Inventory building and cataloguing
• Database implementation
• Film and photographic documentation of material
• Specialist conservation
• Digitisation of analogue film and negatives
• Archive and artwork valuation
• Legal consultancy

The programme includes the creation of a documentary film centred on the legacy of each artists’ practice and experience of archiving. You can view our previous Art360 films by award-winning filmmaker, David Bickerstaff, on our multimedia page.

We are grateful for the support of our partners and supporters, Creative Scotland, the P F Charitable Trust, the Henry Moore Foundation and National Galleries Scotland, for enabling us to open up this exciting new chapter of our project in Scotland.
