An evening celebrating Yoko Ono's Grapefruit (1964).
About
This month’s Art Words takes Yoko Ono’s iconic book Grapefruit as its subject.
First published in 1964 in Tokyo and then reprinted in 1970 and 2000, the book contains a series of “event scores”. Come along and experience a performance art manual of Fluxus inspired ideas and playful aphorisms bound together by a sense of innocence and wonder that is utterly charming.
Our reader will be local actress Sian Webber.
"A dream you dream alone may be a dream, but a dream two people dream together is a reality.”
Presented as part of Wednesdays at Phoenix: Art Words.
