An art therapy group for adults, specially designed to use art media and the creative process to help people explore identity, manage emotions and build self-esteem.
Anyone can benefit… you don’t need to be ‘good at art’ to do it!
About
The art therapy is encouraging people to engage with art materials and the art making process in order to help them express emotions in a non-verbal way, thus allowing to explore their feelings. This will enable you to cope better with anxiety, fear and trauma therefore encouraging a more positive outlook, increased sense of well-being and tackle issues such as anger, depression and low self-esteem.
In order for this to be facilitated a trusting relationship is built with the art therapist, so that personal development or growth can occur in a safe and supportive environment. The art psychotherapist Cate Smail will be in charge of the art therapy group sessions, please find more information on the website.
