Art on a Postcard (AOAP), well known for its unique fundraising initiatives, is delighted to announce its fifth annual Summer Auction in support of The Hepatitis C Trust.
About
Private View: 27th June | 6-8pm | Hoxton Gallery London EC1V
The auction boasts an extraordinary line-up of emerging talents and established names in the art world including Corinna Button, whose multidisciplinary practice encompasses painting, sculpture and printmaking and whose work has been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions over the last two decades; Jeremy Deller, an AOAP-favourite and celebrated English conceptual artist and Turner Prize winner; American artist Larissa Bates, whose artwork has been the subject of solo exhibitions around the world including London, Berlin, New York and Madrid; and rising star Kora Mora Rojo, whose vibrant symbolic paintings have been exhibited in Mexico, Milan and London, with an upcoming debut solo show later this year.
The auction will showcase over 350 curated artworks all presented in a postcard-sized format. Bidding for each miniature masterpiece will start at £50, an exceptional opportunity for both seasoned collectors and first-time buyers to acquire artworks while supporting the vital work of The Hepatitis C Trust, who are working so hard to eliminate hepatitis C in the UK by the year 2030, as part of a global initiative led by the World Health Organization. The funds raised from our auction will go specifically to support our work with those affected by the Infected Blood scandal.
Joining the roster is Zimbabwean-born artist Tafadzwa Masudi, whose poignant portraits featuring balloons and exploring the diaspora experience have garnered widespread acclaim and were recently featured in a solo show at JD Malat Gallery and at 1-54 London; British printmaker Kate Gibb, known for her captivating music sleeve artworks, most notably for The Chemical Brothers; and Irish painter Paul Nugent, whose uniquely layered paintings have been exhibited worldwide, including a solo exhibition at the VOLTA, New York.
The auction features a host of notable emerging talent on the cusp of greatness including current RCA MA student Ji Won Cha, whose thought-provoking artworks delve into the intricate relationship between landscapes and our sense of belonging; Ayumi Matsuma, a graduate of the New York Academy of Art, who has exhibited her artworks at prestigious galleries such as Flowers Gallery, Art Miami, and Sotheby's, New York; and recent RCA graduate Alya Hatta, whose practice explores the Southeast Asian identity through the interplay of colour and form.
Another rising star, British artist Molly Brocklehurst, presents her nostalgic paintings inspired by her new home in Austin, Texas. Brocklehurst's signature muted palette creates artworks that blur the boundary between documentation and fiction, weaving narratives that are simultaneously soothing and unsettling.
The auction also proudly features Royal Academician Peter Randall-Page RA, whose large-scale works and commissions have won him the Marsh Award for Public Sculpture. As ever, we are thrilled to welcome back long-standing AOAP supporters including Otto Schade, Joanna Whittle and Martyn Brewster.

About The Hepatitis C Trust
The Hepatitis C Trust is the national charity for people with hepatitis C. It is a patient-led and patient run organisation; most of its board, staff and volunteers have had hepatitis C themselves. It is committed to eliminating hepatitis C in the UK by 2030. Its strategy is based around pillars of better prevention, increased diagnosis, and treatment for all. It has established strong partnership models of working with substance misuse and homeless service providers across the UK. In substance misuse services, it delivers staff training, peer-led education about the importance of testing and availability of new treatments, and personal one- to-one support from initial diagnosis through to treatment. It runs a range of support services, including a confidential national helpline run by staff and trained volunteers, all with personal experience of living with hepatitis C.
