A series of four lectures exploring sexuality and gender through art. The first lecture, titled "The Society of Buggers: Bloomsbury’s Queer Beginnings", will be presented by Dr Darren Clarke from the Charleston Trust.

The first of our four lectures will explore the queer influential development of the Bloomsbury Group, their personal relationships and public work.

Dr Darren Clarke is the Head of Collections, Research and Exhibitions for the Charleston Trust. His essay, “Charleston: Queer Arcadia” is included in the recently published anthology “Queer Bloomsbury” (EUP 2016).
