An emerging artist vibrant solo exhibition.
About
A new art collective is born at The Pullens Yards above the unique Electric Elephant Cafe.
Founded in 2008, The Electric Elephant Cafe exhibited art from the artists in the yard since its opening, and it's now coming back as a Gallery Cafe and art collective with a solo exhibition organised by one of the seven artists of the new collective. The exhibition is the first of a series of events that are going to take place at the Cafe every month, hosting artist from different backgrounds.
A little history
The Pullens Estate was built at the end of the 19th Century, originally as a work-live space, they were used for light industrial use. In the 1980s, after being purchased by the council, they risked the demolition, but thanks to the tenants battled, today, three of the seven yards still stand.
The studios have housed craftspeople for a hundred and twenty years, and The Pullens Yards Open Studios event is the oldest artists open studios in London.
