The potential of the human imagination and the power of dreams are endless and compelling and it is these subconscious creative forces that we are exploring in our exhibition ART IN MIND: VIVID DREAMS. Nine artists from different corners of Europe, including Hungary, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Corsica, Luxembourg and UK are presenting a selection of works of bright and light-hearted compositions, intense colours, disturbing images and surreal visions.
In Fenna van der Vliet’s monumental collages, the city is a vibrant, restless and constantly changing organism. It is also a home to many cultures, traditions and artistic expression. The artist shows us, in her unique style, how the city responds and how it evolves and changes with them. The clash of cultures and the diversity of emotions that it creates is also the main theme of Habib Hajallie work which is created by fusing text, image and varying artistic techniques. Taking a break from the city, one can dive into disturbing and yet hypnotizing worlds created by Hungarian artist Judit Ladányi. Her compositions resemble fantastical seascapes that could be found in the mysterious depths of the ocean – unreal, unknown, but yet intriguing and tempting.
This exhibition celebrates our Imagination - an endless source of human creativity which is as unique and as subjective as each one of us.
Join us at the opening for an exhibition preview on Wednesday 1st April 6pm - 8pm
