The Brick Lane Gallery is excited to present our first ART IN MIND exhibition of 2016. The show brings together an exciting range of UK and international contemporary artists. This eclectic show aims to broaden our concept of art through a variety of works by these talented artists including drawings, paintings, photographs and prints.

Cinzia Mancini's work is mainly based on flowers and African women figures. She endeavours to find that emotional tie between the subject matter and the heart, leaving that precious moment for her eyes enabling them to connect with her senses and recognise the nature that seems to disappear from the planet. Alex T creates artworks that capture beauty using geometric structures, combining different shades and mixing several patterns. He also explores the dark side of the world where there is no certainty and a clear goal of being, where we can only find questions and no answers. It is an invitation to explore a hidden side and confronts the viewers with dualities and invites them to question them through his works. Rachel O’ Keefe presents works that are an investigation into the abstract concept of energy and the effect of trying to control it within the mind and body; despite the fact it cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred. The works describe the tipping point; the moment before the 'fight or flight' response when the mind isn't sure if it is in a state of joy, fear or panic and the body experiences the adrenalin rush that can save or destroy itself.
