Art in Flux in collaboration with National Gallery X:
Transformations - Media Art for Social Change
A hybrid event at National Gallery X
Curated by Maria Almena, Aphra Shemza & Olive Gingrich
About
On the 22nd September, National Gallery X and Art in Flux host ‘Transformations’ - performances, talks and a virtual exhibition underscoring the pivotal role of media arts for societal change. Presentations by the Art in Flux founders Aphra Shemza, Maria Almena, and Olive Gingrich, and the artist Natasha Trotman, highlight innovative, transformative artistic strategies to encourage societal shifts through artistic practice.
Bracketed by media art performances by the Analema Group, Kimatica Studio and Magik Door, the evening centers around media art as a prismatic lens and facilitator of technological, cultural and societal change. Hosted by the National Gallery X’s Co-Director Dr. Ali Hossaini, Transformations will be live streamed via YouTube from 7pm - 8:35 pm.
