About
Originally from Worcestershire, Laura White has a materially engaged practice, that cuts across a studio practice (primarily sculpture), writing and fieldwork.
Laura focuses on process and how objects/things come into being, with an emphasis on the handling of materials, from stable materials.
This spring Laura will transform No.1 Station Approach in Hereford, as part of the collaborative three-year public art programme run by Meadow Arts and Hereford College of Arts. This project is supported by StrongerHereford.
Hosted at the Art House, Worcester, the lecture series offers a unique opportunity to hear firsthand from some of the most exciting contemporary artists currently making work in the UK. The talks offer the opportunity to engage in thought-provoking dialogues with the artists (via a Q&A), connect with Worcestershire’s artistic community, and gain an understanding of artistic processes and influences.
If you are unable to join us in-person, this event will be live streamed via zoom. If you wish to attend this event online, please book an online ticket. You will receive a registration link ahead of the event.
The Art House Open Lecture Series is presented by Meadow Arts and the University of Worcester’s School of Arts.
