Art & (H)aktivism: Ugly Duck's new call for creative projects is out now! All systems can be hacked.
About
How can we use art and creativity to advocate for social change?
Ugly Duck has an opportunity for individuals or groups to host public facing projects in any of our stunning and unusual buildings in East London.
We are looking for projects that subvert, improve and criticize established and unquestioned systems. Offering alternatives and putting them into practice.
> Any form and type of project will be considered <
About Ugly Duck
Ugly Duck is a non profit that revitalises empty and underused buildings. We organise multiple creative shows as well as providing unusual locations for films, photo shoots and events. So far we've unlocked a Victorian Warehouse, postmodern offices and a dusty museum in South-East London.
We programme a diverse range of projects, and whilst we work closely with artists, we are also keen to see submissions from groups in other disciplines including but not limited to architecture; science, information and technology; social sciences; activism. We are interested in projects that involve audiences in new and dynamic ways, work across disciplines, and educate and advocate for social, political and environmental change.
