Art Brussels is a contemporary art fair that takes place in Brussels Expo ((Heysel) - Halls 1 & 3) at the end of April. Art Brussels 2015 will run across new dates, with the preview and Vernissage on Friday 24 April and the fair running until Monday 27 April. As in previous years, galleries will be placed into different sections, which will include two new additions in 2015. The Stage, a programme of live performances that will replace the talks programme, brings together artists and cultural practitioners with a focus on spoken word and lecture-performances. The Stage will also include a series of live musical performances by contemporary artists and their bands called Artist’s Music. In addition to this is Discovery, a section that will feature 16 galleries, selected by a committee of international curators, who represent lesser-known and emerging artists that have yet to find exposure in Europe. The Prime, Young and Curator’s View sections will continue as before. The Managing Director of Art Brussels is Anne Vierstraete and the Artistic Director, Katerina Gregos, who is also the curator of the Belgian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2015.
