About
Inspired by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard's exhibition PUBLICSFEAR, the SLG's young people's group the Art Assassins, have curated a group show of artists' moving image selected through open submission on the theme of 'immature'.On 17 March Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard take part in a question and answer session during a special preview of the exhibition.
Over recent weeks the Art Assassins, a peer-led group, who meet each Thursday to collaborate with each other and practising artists, have made their own moving image works as well as inviting contributions from young people from the Royal Academy, Whitechapel Gallery, The Hayward, the Tate and artists who have worked with them in the past.
This Art Assassins established the theme and developed this into a brief from which they made and edited their own work in response. They reviewed their work and the submitted pieces and curated it, deciding how it would be exhibited and displayed in the South London Gallery.
