An exhibition of paintings by eight artists concentrating on the subject of landscape painting. The show highlights the broad range of contrasting approaches by each artist. The variety of styles travels the British landscape through representational painting with a focus on tonal appreciation, through to playful use of colour field experimentation taking the landscape closer to abstraction.
Exploring the favourite locations that each artist is drawn to, the exhibition includes the Cornish peninsula along its coast, fishing harbours and beaches, the hills and plains of Wiltshire and gardens and parks in London, showing off the diversity that this theme provides to the artist. The exhibition features work by Louise Balaam, Fran Donovan, Gareth Edwards, Julia Giles, Bo Hilton, Paul Lewin, Teresa Pemberton and Ruth Stage.
