A solo show by Nazzarena Poli Maramotti
About
Shortlisted in 2011 for the Rolling Stone Award at The Others Fair (Turin), and winner of Euromobil Prize under 30 in 2014 at Bologna’s Art First, Nazzarena Poli Maramotti has distinguished herself since her very debut for her intense and highly original style. Her practice, suspended between abstraction and figuration, highlights not only an highly confident technical ability, but also an extremely refined aesthetic inquiry, whose defining feature is a conscious, unstable yet very personal transformation.
The exhibition, curated by Silvia Cirelli, is titled Argonauta (Argonaut) where the term refers to the adventurous explorer, the brave sailor embarking on a trip. Similarly, Nazzarena Poli Maramotti and her art lead the visitors towards a different reality, guiding them through a journey towards imaginary places whilst unveiling transitional and continuously changing universes.
