Das Rumänische Kulturinstitut in Berlin freut sich, in seinem Kunstraum, [Ceci n'est pas une] Gallery, zur Eröffnung der Duo-Ausstellung "Architectures of Healing l Diana Păun & Oana Maria Pop" einzuladen!

Vom 07. Dezember 2023 bis zum 25. Februar 2024 erblicken die jüngsten Arbeiten zweier aufstrebender rumänischer Künstlerinnen das Licht des Tages in einer fesselnden Erzählung über die Interaktion von künstlerischer Praxis, Ethik und Gemeinschaft. Während sie die Fallstricke zwischenmenschlicher Kommunikation und Sprachproduktion hinterfragt, überdenkt die Ausstellung die Bedeutung von Fürsorge in Kunst und Gesellschaft neu.

Ausgehend von der angewandten Forschungsarbeit von Diana Păun & Oana Maria Pop – beide Stipendiatinnen der letzten Ausgabe der Künstlerresidenz Fresh A.I.R. – wird das Ausstellungsprojekt im RKI Berlin durch eine Reihe von partizipativen Akten in den Berliner Kulturraum hineinreichen, mit dem Wunsch die Projekte an die lokalen Gemeinschaften enger zu verknüpfen. 

Architectures of Healing ist eine Satellitenpräsentation der Gruppenausstellung „Linguistic Xpedition“, die den Abschluss der Künstlerresidenz Fresh A.I.R. #8 im Urban Nation Museum bildet. Fresh A.I.R. ist ein Projekt der Stiftung Berliner Leben.

The Romanian Cultural Institute in Berlin is pleased to invite you to the opening of the duo exhibition Architectures of Healing by Diana Păun & Oana Maria Pop–both fellows of the last edition of the artist residency Fresh A.I.R.!

From December 7, 2023, to February 25, 2024, the latest work of these two emerging Romanian artists will come to life in a captivating narrative exploring the interaction of artistic practice, ethics, and community. As it navigates aroundthe pitfalls of human communication and language production, the exhibition reconsiders the significance of care in art and society.

Building on the applied research of Diana Păun & Oana Maria Pop, the exhibition project at the art space of RKI Berlin will extend into Berlin’s cultural space through a series of participatory acts, designed to open up the artists’ practices more intimately to the local communities. 

 Architectures of Healing is a satellite presentation of the group exhibition “Linguistic Xpedition”, marking the conclusion of the Fresh A.I.R. #8 residency programme at the Urban Nation–Museum for Urban Contemporary Art. Fresh A.I.R. is a project of the Stiftung Berliner Leben.
