An exhibition of paintings by artist Debbie Ayles that explores London above and below ground.
About
If you would like to meet the artist Debbie Ayles she will be here in the library on Monday 3rd of September between 12 – 4pm in the afternoon and 5-8pm in the evening.
During these hours she will be happy to meet you to discuss her exhibition, talk about how she works and answer your questions.
You are welcome to view the exhibition whenever you wish during the following hours:
Monday to Friday : 10am - 8pm
Saturday: 10am - 3pm
Sunday: Closed
To accompany this exhibition Author Antony Clayton will give an illustrated talk ‘Subterranean City – Beneath The Streets of London’.
Friday 7th September from 6.30 to 7.30pm
This subterranean world includes lost rivers, utility subways, ‘ghost’ underground stations and government bunkers and tunnels. The talk will also uncover some of the colourful folklore of underground London and explore legends of secret passages and tunnels.
Places are free but very limited so booking is essential.
