Portland Collective presents their first solo exhibition in the UK. ‘ARCHIPELAGO’ is an exploration of islands and isolations in the most landlocked city of the UK.

"We awoke to hear the bells ringing. Emerging from our tents, we stumbled down the shore towards our anchored boats. After a few shaky attempts in the cold stormy water, we began our voyage into the waves."
A multimedia presentation by international artist collective Portland. Formed in Chelsea College of Arts in 2019 and separated by the Covid-19 pandemic and associated incidents, Portland continually attempts to bring its shipwrecked islanders back together. An amalgamation of sailors knots, dollhouses and rap lyrics comes together to suggest strategies of connection and survival of a disparate group of artists.
