About
An exhibition featuring:
Jack Hartley
Anna Sofie Jespersen
Louis Judkins
Lenny Watson
Louis: Hello Anna, what is your work about?
Anna: My work is inspired by a desire to collect and solidify cinematic qualities occurring in the realm of consciousness. My elastic perception of time has a jarring effect on my surroundings and through my work, I attempt to use this to negotiate the authenticity of my perceived reality.
Louis: Hello Jack, what will you be exhibiting?
Jack: The work I’m showing is a short cut-up film utilising the sonic material found in popular movies and TV of the last century to go some way in piecing together the lost sounds of our shared, urban space and how these sounds are just as vital in transmitting narrative.
Louis: Hello Emily, what is your work about?
Emily: Nightclubs are places where an individual can shed their identity to transcend social norms to be at one with the crowd on the dance floor. I’m interested in placing individuals in an everyday setting, allowing the focus to become solely about the relationship between the subject, the director and the camera.
Louis: Hello Lenny, what will you be exhibiting?
Lenny: The piece I'm showing looks at the development of UK music culture in relation to socio-political and economic change.
Louis: Hello Louis, what is your work about?
Louis: Fuck off.
