About

Five artists have created site specific work in response to a selection of pieces taken from the museum archives by the museum curator. These pieces all relate to cutting — with shears, scissors, blades, and teeth amongst the chosen artefacts. The situation of the gallery, located alongside the museum and library, offers the opportunity to explore the similarities and differences in the display of contemporary art and museum artefact.
