CANAL presents a festive extravaganza of crafts, designer products and homewares sourced from the UK’s most imaginative and exciting new makers
About
Stunning ceramics, textiles, mosaics, jewellery, furniture, fashion accessories, cards, prints and original artworks will be presented in the gallery re-imagined as a magical canalside apartment at Christmas.
The opening takes place on Thursday 4th December, with wine and nibbles by candlelight, and is part of the Haggerston Riviera Winter Festival (4th – 7th December).
The gallery will have extended hours during the Festival Weekend, and Saturday 6th December will see an evening of choirs, candlelight, outdoor film projections, and food and craft markets on the banks of the canal, with performances from 6-8pm.
The gallery programme on the evening of Saturday 6th December features fizz, nibbles and hot soup at the gallery, an outdoor short films projection with works by Alex Pearl, and a set of pop, gospel and traditional music by The Hoxton Singing Mums at 6.30pm and 7.30pm, as well as oysters from sustainable fish company Soleshare.
There will be choirs, art events and entertainments along the Haggerston Riviera on Saturday 6th December, as well as a festival on Kingsland Basin on Sunday 7th December 11am-5pm - check the Haggerston Riviera facebook page for more details.
