About
Anya’s practice focuses on painting and expanded making, both of which allow her to communicate the ideas of the inner experience of body and mind. This is her third Solo show.
“Being” explores the idea of inner experience from a different angle: the physical and psychological experiences of different emotions and states affecting transition and metamorphosis within. The series of work is engaged with a hybrid of painting and physical form, exploring the link between Cartesian Dualism and Freudian points on Being.
The exhibition comprises works on paper and PVC fabrics as well as mixed-media. The latter will be further developed during Anya’s residency at Hundred Years Gallery.
