Biographies

Declan Ryan was born in Ireland in 1983 and lives in north London. He has an MA in Creative Writing from Royal Holloway, is writing PhD on Ian Hamilton and teaches poetry at King's College London. He has just published his first pamphlet with Faber New Poets, co-edits the Days of Roses anthology series and is a poetry editor at Ambit.

Ruth Padel is an award-winning poet and writer, author of Darwin - A Life in Poems and Tigers in Red Weather, on tiger conservation. Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and the Zoological Society of London, she curates the Writers' Talks on Endangered Species for ZSL London Zoo and was first Resident Writer at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden. She teaches Creative Writing at King's College, London.
