Another Time & Space offers an intricate exploration of existence beyond the conventional boundaries of time. As Yuksek describes it, “This is a collection where the here and now exist simultaneously with the past, future, and other realities. They explore the ability to exist beyond the concept of time, taking into mind the influence of everything that has brought the present together.” 

The paintings invite us to contemplate the vastness of space and time and the intricate web of past and future events that shape our present reality.

Continuing her exploration of Pop Surrealism (a movement that merges the dreamlike, fantastical elements of Surrealism with the accessibility and vibrant imagery of pop culture), Yuksek's work reflects a deep interest in the human journey, touching on both the magnitude and intricacy of all that surrounds us through delicate moments of contemplation..

About the Artist

Gokcen Yuksek is a multidisciplinary artist with a background in 3D sculpting for the gaming and production industries. Since transitioning to oil painting in 2019, she has developed a unique style that marries the precision of digital modelling with the intimacy of traditional painting. Her work is characterised by a delicate exploration of the subconscious, where characters interact and merge with nature, creating a mythical world that is as enchanting as it is thought-provoking.
