About

The summer show at The Albany Gallery gives visitors an opportunity to view work by some of our top selling artists as well as being introduced to new artists to the gallery. All work is sold 'off the wall' there are no red spots - everything is for sale!

This summer the gallery is showcasing work by over 50 different artists including a brooding ink and wash by Sir Kyffin Williams RA, Mike Jones' images of everday life in the Welsh Valleys, spontaneous and energetic coastal paintings from Tim Fudge, and Cardiff-based artist Malcolm Murphy's realistic local scenes. There will also be a few unseen paintings by the late Donald McIntyre.

New exciting discoveries at the gallery include Emma Connolly, David Pilgrim ROI, and Emily Powell.

This summer will be multi-award winning artist Emma Connolly's first time exhibiting at the gallery. Emma is a painter who has already made waves in New York, Cuba, Berlin and in her native Ireland.

We are delighted to be exhibiting the work of esteemed oil painter David Pilgrim who was elected as a full member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters in 2012. Although not from Wales he studied fine art at Aberystwyth University and for this show has painted a number of Welsh coastal scenes.

Emily Powell is a Devon-based artist who we first saw at the Fresh Art Fair in Cheltenham. We like the looseness of her work, its abstract quality and her wonderful use of colour.
