Annin Arts are proud to present David Salle who will exhibit publicly on billboard
8171, London Bridge.
David Salle is a prominent American painter, writer and director. He earned
a BFA & MFA from California Institute of the Arts in 1973, 1975.
Salle played a pivotal role in the return to painting of the late 70’s/early 80’s.
His oeuvre spans not only painting, writing and directing but also set design.
In 1986 Salle received a Guggenheim fellowship for theatre design whilst his
collection of critical essays ‘How to see’ was published by W.W. Norton in 2016.
Salle’s solo exhibitions include a retrospective at Stedelijk museum, Amsterdam, 1999,
