We are excited to announce the upcoming solo exhibition of Los Angeles based artist Annie Terrazzo at London's Nancy Victor Gallery.
About
Running alongside London fashion week, “Big Issues” features a body of work that focuses on the social and cultural relevance of Vogue Magazine, drawing inspiration from the magazine’s history from its inception in 1892. Terrazzo tackles the controversies and triumphs of its long-standing run and influence over women’s lifestyles and fashion, sourcing directly from Vogue. The 20-piece exhibition projects a contemporary mindset onto a cultural memory of the past, creating a realm where the body finds an equilibrium of both ideal beauty and sexuality, as well as personal expression and ironic contrast. Terrazzo’s work instantly draws in the viewer and stands out due to its familiarity, but also its originality and undeniable intention.
