Anne Hardy: Art Night 2017

For Art Night, Anne Hardy presents a new large scale immersive installation comprising of meticulously arranged components of sculpture, objects, colour, light and audio in the former headquarters of the Nicholls & Clarke showrooms. The installation creates an emotional space in response to the building, through collected sounds and objects found within the vicinity of the site, carefully choreographed to enable various pathways of movement through the delicate assembly of objects, sound and light. An abstract score that tells the story of forgotten items, everyday objects that have been removed from their purpose and taken on a new role. Details such as a brick or steel rod abandoned on the street come together with found sounds recorded by Hardy, the balance and choreography of these components together, create a familiar yet disorienting environment.
