About
Annabel Faraday is a London-based ceramic artist, making illustrated vessels about places. She uses a process developed over many years of printing onto both sides of raw clay slabs that have been coloured with stained slips. The vessels, illustrated with her own (sometimes digitally altered) photographs and often with maps indicating the source of the photos, are hand built from the printed slabs. More recently, she has been making collaged wall pieces from clay and found foreshore objects.
Annabel Faraday is a professional member of the Crafts Potters Association and has exhibited nation-wide and internationally over the last 25 years. She is regularly commissioned to make commemorative pieces for selected authors by large publishers on the launch of new books, as well as undertaking commissioned pieces for private individuals.
