"Stillleben" is a specific installation for the exhibition space at the Tête project in Prenzlauer Berg.
About
In this room, despite its decadent appearance, the beauty of the city from other times is still visible. It is one of the few spaces in Berlin that is still preserved in these conditions.
But, like so many other buildings, this room is about to change. The renovation of the building will begin next year, and the current appearance of the site is likely to disappear.
The project speaks of the intermediate stages between ruin and new construction and, therefore, of the fragility of architecture and life.
..
On the ceiling of the Tête exhibition space you can still see the hooks from which the old chandeliers hung. The installation recovers this element, replacing it with a floral still life.
The flowers will wilt during the days of the event.
This act speaks of the transience to which the places we inhabit are exposed, but also all living beings. Nothing can escape this fate.
This installation is related to the idea of the baroque vanitas.
“Vanitas vanitatum omnia vanitas."
In the end, the power of nature prevails over any attempt at perpetuity.

In addition, the Zabriskie bookshop, specialized in culture and nature, will select bibliography related to the theme for the opening day.
