The Arrangement is a selection of new paintings made in Berlin at the cross over of Winter into Spring.
About
The works are composed with a focus on line, form and elements of architecture. The dedication to providing space on the canvas allows painted forms to continually arrange themselves like objects as each layer of paint dissolves borders and moves the forms towards their absence. The resolved composition becomes a dichotomy of presence and absence, an abstraction of something glimpsed and remembered and filtered through the hand.
Anna Steele is a Melbourne-based artist currently working in Berlin.
