Anna Louise Wise: Spirit of the Sea

About

Anna was born and bred in Devon and moved to Sussex three years ago to be near family. 

Studying Graphic Design at college, Anna's first job was in an advertising agency working as a graphic designer. 

After this, Anna began working in the Civil Service until retirement, which was when she started to pick up a paintbrush, and began drawing and painting again using acrylic as her medium. 

Spirit of the sea is inspired by the kaleidoscope of colours and the changing form of the sea from Littlehampton to Worthing, with the exquisite light along the coast giving the sea its ever changing colour. 

Anna wanted to capture these wonderful colours ranging from pale turquoise, to navy and black in her paintings for everyone to see. 

"When I'm walking along the beach, I see the waves crashing on the shore and the sun sparkling like diamonds on the seas surface, just waiting to be captured in a painting".
