Anna Laudel to Participate in Zonamaco Art Fair

Anna Laudel presents a special selection of artworks by contemporary artist Lal Batman, at Zonamaco in Mexico City, from February 8 to 12, 2023. The largest art fair in Latin America, the 19th edition of Zonamaco features 210 exhibitors from 26 countries within its four sections focusing on fairs that feature art, design, antiques and furniture, and photography. 

Attracting art lovers from all over the world, this year The Galleries Section at Zonamaco consists of 4 parts including the Main Section, Modern Art, Ejes, and Sur. Anna Laudel will be showcasing Lal Batman at the Sur section (Booth ZMS 11), which is curated by Luiza Teixeira de Freitas around the theme of feminine, female embodiment, and empowerment. Participating in an international art fair with a solo presentation for the first time, Batman’s selection for Zonamaco includes a wide range of works referring to the erotic nature of today’s desires to expose, reveal, watch (and to be watched), follow (and to be followed), peek and (to be peeked), and adds her own interpretations to these phenomena. Focusing on how digital platforms contribute to sociocultural change, Lal explores how digital communication technologies are used in everyday life.
