When interviewed about her work she becomes animated as she describes her passion for portraiture and that moment when she starts the portrait with a nervous or at least self conscious subject and they relax and start to enjoy the experience immensely. She is a fabulous observer. The Event of the making of the portrait becomes a thoroughly enjoyable experience visually and intellectually, physically and sensually. Even I have signed up to be painted during the week...I can't resist although I am a little worried about hiding my third chin! JH
