About
Animate Films features six extraordinary new films by artists and experimental filmmakers working with animation.Semiconductor's Magnetic Movie, vividly visualises invisible magnetic fields; The Life Size Zoetrope is a zoetrope made on a fairground ride; in End of the Street, Andy Martin collaborates with poet Ian McMillan; Flat Earth, is entirely constructed from images and blogs found on the web; comic character Francis subverts traditional animation; and Tongue of the Hidden gives us a glimpse into Middle Eastern culture.
Plus, a retrospective of work by Jean-Gabriel Périot, Animate Award winner, who will be conversation with film curator Ian White.
