Running during the Edinburgh Festival this will be a two-day course to make an Animal maquette modelled on a wire armature.
Incorporating practical demonstrations and guidance the course covers anatomy, balance, poise and vitality as it pertains to animalier sculpture.
There will be a tour of the foundry explaining the processes involved in casting sculpture including a bronze pouring. Finally you will have the opportunity to have your finished piece cast into plaster, resin or bronze at the end of the course. Participants will receive a 15% discount for casting services.
David Annand is one of Scotland's most experienced sculptors with many works in public places throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
Courses are limited to a maximum of 10 participants.
All materials and lunch will be provided on both days.
