Ply Gallery presents Angelina Panays. Her painting collections are predominantly abstract while other works are concerned concerned with refugees and the division between communities, expressed in a combination of canvas, glass, wood and found objects.
About
Angelina Panays studied Fine Art, Painting and Printmaking at Central St Martin's College of Art.
'I use paint as a language to convey mood and atmosphere. The
Painting entitled 'Alphabet' particular expresses this communication'. Some other issues and themes in Angelina's work are concerned with refugees and the division between communities. In particular interest to her has been the unresolved partition of Cyprus which is a recurring theme that has introduced semi figurative human elements into her work.
Angelina has exhibited at the Royal College of Art, The Mall Gallery, National Portrait Gallery and has worked in the private collection of Bob Dylan as well as exhibiting at other galleries.
