About
Falmouth School of Art will screen Holden’s 'A Natural History of Nest Building', 2017, (30 minutes 30 seconds) followed by an artist talk. The evening is programmed to coincide with The Cornwall Workshop 2019, led by Holden and held at Kestle Barton on the Lizard peninsula,
Andy Holden’s work takes a multitude of forms – large installations or sculptures, long-form videos, animation and music – that often oscillate between personal narratives and historical research. He often appears in his work, as an animated version of himself, as a teenage actor, or in the role of narrator. Recent projects have included a collaboration with his father around a natural history of birds nests, and a social history of egg collecting.
This event, in partnership with CAST, is supported and hosted by Falmouth School of Art as part of the Falmouth School of Art Guest Speaker Series. Lectures are open to students and the public. Admission is free but booking is required via Eventbrite.
